After painting a couple of rabbits recently I was in the mood to add more mammalian species to my critter collection. And, what better place to turn than Karen's hundreds of photos of black bears that she has taken at Anan Creek south of Wrangell, Alaska. The bear was in a tree but I had difficulty discerning the background and Kären felt the tree looked boring, so for reference, I drew on several of over 150,000 photos well hidden on our computers. Talk about an Easter egg hunt!
